The Farmington Hills Police Department handles all law enforcement within city limits. They patrol, investigate crimes, and respond to calls for service. When they arrest someone, the person is processed at the station and then moved to Oakland County. If you call the police to ask about someone who was just arrested, they can tell you if the arrest happened. But for ongoing jail status, you need to use the county tools.

The department also handles FOIA requests for police reports and arrest records. Send your written request to the department at the address above. Under MCL 15.233, they must respond within five business days.
